Granutools at Formnext 2026 - November 17-20, 2026
Granutools will be at Formnext 2026 in Frankfurt, 17-20 November, Hall 11.0 booth C53B, with the AM Workflow running live: the new GranuDrum for spreadability, the GranuPack High Temperature for packing dynamics up to 200 °C, and the GranuCharge At Line for electrostatics.

Powder quality decides what comes out of a powder bed fusion machine. Layer homogeneity, recoating behaviour, build consistency and the fate of recycled powder all trace back to how the feedstock behaves — before, during and after the build.
Granutools will be at Formnext with the AM Workflow running live on booth C53B: the three measurements that describe how a powder spreads, packs and charges, plus the GranuFlow.
Spreadability: the new GranuDrum
The GranuDrum measures the cohesive index and flowing angle across a range of rotating speeds: flowability under dynamic conditions, close to what a powder experiences under a recoater. The Cohesive Index contributed to the publication of ISO/ASTM TR 52952:2023 on powder spreadability evaluation for additive manufacturing, and the measurement now has a standard of its own: ASTM D8648-25, Standard Test Method for Determining Flowability Using GranuDrum.
On the booth is the new generation of the instrument, launched in September: more automation, faster results, higher accuracy, with the same measurement principle. Read about the new GranuDrum.
Packing dynamics: the GranuPack High Temperature
The GranuPack is a high-resolution tapped density analyser: it follows how bulk density evolves tap after tap, which says far more about compaction behaviour than a single end value.
The version on the booth is the High Temperature variant, which runs the same analysis up to 200 °C. AM powders routinely see heat before and during a build: drying and conditioning to remove moisture, preheated build plates. How a powder packs at 20 °C is not necessarily how it packs once it has been through that.
Electrostatics: the GranuCharge At Line
Charge builds up wherever powder flows against equipment surfaces: handling, conveying, sieving, recycling. Charged particles adhere to recoaters and build plates, fines agglomerate, and particle size distributions drift; effects that show up in the part long before anyone suspects static.
The GranuCharge At Line measures that charge build-up directly in the production environment, where it is generated rather than after the fact in a lab.
Also on the booth: GranuFlow
GranuFlow measures flow rate through a series of calibrated orifices, showing how a material behaves as the outlet narrows. Useful wherever powder has to be dosed, transferred or refilled reproducibly.
Meet us in Hall 11.0
Booth C53B, for the four days. Come and watch a measurement run from start to finish. On most of these instruments it takes a few minutes, and it is the quickest way to judge whether the data would tell you something about your own powder.
