26e Congrès Français de Mécanique (CFM 2025) - August 25 - 29, 2025
Granutools is pleased to participate in the 26th edition of the Congrès Français de Mécanique (CFM), a flagship scientific event organized by the Association Française de Mécanique (AFM).
This year’s congress will take place from August 25–29, 2025, at the Université de Lorraine in Metz, France, hosted by LEM3 (Laboratoire d'Étude des Microstructures et de Mécanique des Matériaux).
About CFM 2025
Held biennially in a different French city, the Congrès Français de Mécanique brings together the entire academic and industrial community involved in mechanical research and innovation. The 2025 edition will spotlight the theme “Mechanics for Materials, Energy, and the Environment”, addressing a wide range of mechanical disciplines through plenary talks, mini-symposia, and technical sessions. It offers a unique platform for scientific exchange and collaboration around the societal challenges of tomorrow.
Presentation “Prediction of the Spreadability of Metal Powders: The Latest Developments”
Spreadability is a key parameter in powder-based manufacturing processes, yet predicting it reliably remains a challenge. In this presentation, Aurélien Neveu will share the latest advancements in spreadability prediction, focusing on the correlation between powder properties and layer formation behavior. Using the GranuDrum, Granutools’ rotating drum rheometer, the cohesiveness of powders is quantified and linked to their spreading performance. Combined with multi-layer analysis on an instrumented test bench developed at LEM3, this approach reveals how powder behavior evolves over successive layers, offering new insights for process optimization and quality control.
